**Dont mind the spelling mistakes this video was used to accompany me in a speach, this is part of my notes THE BERLIN WALL Erected on August 13, 1961 by the communist regime in East Germany. It cut right through the heart of the city, amputating vital traffic links and separating families and friends. Minefields and border police had orders to shot to death anyone who attempted top cross the wall, mainly East Germans lookng for a better future in the West. While the communists tightened their grip on peoples lives in East Berlin, the western part of the city became a walled-in outpost of freedom and democracy. 28 years past and in1989, the world watched in amazement as jubilant crowds gathered on both sides of the Berlin Wall around midnight to celebrate the opening of the border crossings between the eastern and western parts of the city. A peaceful revolution in East Germany had finally cracked this grim symbol of Cold War and political oppression. It signaled the beginning of the end of Germanys postwar division and national unity came less than a year later on October 3, 1990. None of this would have ever seemed possible just a month before, it all started in october of the same year when a member of the politburo, accidently announced that east germans would now be allowed to travel. within the hour hundreds of people approached the gates to see for themselves, when they were not allowed to leave , the people for the first time in over 50 years freely protested …

Thank you very much all of you who rated and commented on my video, today in the 20th aniversary of the fall it’s important for us to remember what it stands for, and not debate about one side of politics or the other. The Fall to me simbolises not only the collapse of a regime which had deeply affected the heart of a country but also it elucidates the power people can exert on their governments, if they unite.

A monumental moment in human history. It has been 20 years…20 years of rebuilding, reuniting, becoming whole again. God truly looks down upon us all. He has forgiven the German people, and they have reunited in brotherhood once more. The world has seen the Communism can never win…and that the human spirit is unbreakable. A lesson here…one that we cannot forget. This is an event that will be remembered in the hearts of the German people…for the rest of time. Freedom will always endure…
East Germany, West Germany, Germany all together…what does it matter? Nothing. We are ALL human beings, all residents of Earth…and all of us are united by the bond. Bitterness serves no purpose. I know what is going on in S. Africa…and in time…Freedom will endure. The oppression will one day end, and the people will be free. The United States, I firmly believe paved the way for Freedom to rise again! This event…20 years have passed…a new unity has grown. Freedom will endure….
I know I was probably to young to remember this, but I almost felt like crying when I say this video. The Fall of The Berlin Wall is such a beauty moment in history. I like that music in the background as well.

They should had build it thicker and higher and have barbwire on top to make it more difficult for people to pass. Its sad to see people tearing down thing that other people build years earlier with blood, sweat and tears.
